Democratic Presidential Candidate John Edwards spoke at South Campus on Thursday, April 12.

Edwards was invited by FCCJ’s Student Government Association, and with a little coaxing, and a fundraiser party by local attorney Wayne Hogan, the event was set.

College first in digital

Florida Community College at Jacksonville has taken a first-place ranking (of colleges with more than 7,500 students) in the annual recognition by the Center for Digital Education and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). The annual survey examines how colleges are deploying technology to streamline operations and better serve students, faculty and staff. This is FCCJ’s third time to be ranked first in the nation, scoring the top position in 2003 and 2004 as well.


VT tragedy: FCCJ community reacts

In light of the recent tragedy at Virginia Tech, students are asking questions about how to spot and survive a crisis. The Campus Voice went to a Downtown Campus counselor for advice, and the larger college community for their thoughts.
